Signed up as well, second year for me!  Did it last year and man was it hot!  And I live in the Bahamas.  Temps were in the 100's.  Hills were massive - but my country has an average elevation of like 16 ft and a highest point of 280ft Laughing

Really looking forward to this years race, as I will now be traveling with my own tri bike (not renting) and *think* I am in better shape.  Also have a friend entering who got motivated after watching me last year.  Went to boarding school in the area, so last year there were a couple classmates in it too which was awesome.

So - look out for the Bahamian flag, that's me, if you want to stop by and say hi! Cool

Today the forecast for race day is for 90* with chance of rain. I'll take that over the temps for this week at 100*+!

Where did you go to boarding school?  My son just graduated from McCallie in Chattanooga where he was a boarder for 4 years.  Hope you didn't attend the school across the river

Hi! I am from the Bahamas as well. Nassau as a child but graduated high school in Freeport. I have been living in Atlanta for the past 15 years. Will be doing this race as well and looking forward to a glimpse of the Bahamian flag! Good luck.

It's probably too early to get a good gauge on the weather but with all this heat I thought I would check out the extended forecast for race day.

It looks like packet pickup is on Saturday at the vendor expo.  Does anyone know the vendor expo is located?

Unless it has changed (and someone will correct me) it is at the race venue, alongside the river.

I'm looking forward to my second year of battling the 3 H's.  Don't forget to thank the small army of volunteers too.  It's hot, but each chilled towel, cup of ice, or sports drink feels like a little gift that keeps me going.

Good luck to everyone!  My family is coming and we're turning it into our summer vacation, heading up tomorrow.  Enjoy the race!

There will be heat, but more than 10 degrees cooler than we've got here -- I'll take it!

hope everyone had a good race. My 910 had the swim at 1817 yards, did anyone else get that distance? Still PR'd the swim which is awesome, especially if it was long.

My garmin says 1883 yards.  However, looking at my route on google maps, it can be described as anything but straight

mine is "straight" enough. i stayed near the buoys to try and get current. Probably safe to say it was long.

Chatannoga Waterfront was an awesome race.  You guys that live in the area are lucky to have the terrain and diverse outdoor activities you have.
