I think Perry the platypus did a half Ironman after defeating doofenshmirtz once.

Love this show. My kids think its funny I like it so much. Its quite an intelligent and well written animated show, and doesn't pander to lowest common denominator humor.  Smart, funny, and the multiple cultural references in the episodes which go right over the kids heads, but parents are sure to catch are always great. I believe I saw somewhere that half the audience for this show are adults, and not just parents watching with their kids.

You should cut the boys some slack.  They did do the Tour de Ferb with Greg LeMond.  I can't imagine too many Americans even have a clue who he is.

Surely one day they will do a tri or Doofenshmirtz will attempt a scheme involving one, since they always involve the "Tri"-State-Area!

x3, I even have gone as far as naming my tri bike Phineas and my road bike Perry. I didn't use Ferb because a friend had already named his bike that and I didn't want to copy it. I get funny looks from people when my daughter askes if I am going to ride Phineas or Perry today.

Among my favorite impressions that I actually do well, is a pretty solid Doofenshmirtz.

One of my favorite moments from our trip to Disney for marathon weekend this January. My wife went to get fast passes, and the rest of us got this..... She's a bit jealous, as she may be the biggest P&F fan in the house.

Guilty, i sometimes watch this when my kids aren't around.  They also like it.  I saw a Perry the Platypus t-shirt at Target yesterday too.  They're everywhere!!

On a side note, it has been the most popular and lucrative cartoon of the last few seasons.  Ashley Tisdale is the voice of Candice.  I read a thing where she makes almost as much from the cartoon as she did from the High-school musical movies (Which thankfully my kids have gotten over)...

I am so psyched that they are making a Perry Mouse-ear hat now so I can get one when I go to Disney this Sept.

Also, this past Halloween, my son was Simba, and I was Doof.

I love P&F. But did you ever notice that it is a complete rip off of "Ferris Bueller's day off" I guess coming from Disney it has to be a rip off. They have not had an original idea since Walt himself was there.

Anyway, back to P&F.  All they did differnt was made the kids younger and changed the dog into a platypus and the principal into Dr.D. Think about it. Two kids doing crazy stuff. One that talks too much and one that doesn't talk much at all. A sister trying to "bust" them. But gets distracted by a boy. The cute girl next store that is not appreciated by the main character. Mom and dad that never know whats going on. They even have a musical numbers that involve the whole town. And in the end, they never get cought.

OK, conspiracy theory over.

Hmmm, not sure. Good attempt, but I'm not sold.

You want a conspiracy theory? Here's a conspiracy theory about Lucky Charms. It kicks in at 1:04.

My kids were into P&F for quite a while. They still watch but not as frequently it seems. Lately it has been Johhny Test. Both pretty good natured shows without resorting to too much crudeness.

This is a solid show for kids, and only tangentially a ripoff of Ferris Beuller, the most overrated movie ever.

The key theme of Bueller is blowing off school for "catching life", while Phineas and Ferb are all about filling up there limited summertime with as much life as possible.  Not a subtle difference.  You get the impression that P&F do well in school and relate well with the adult world while maximizing their youthful fun.

Bueller, on the other hand, is one skipped day away from failing his senior year, dodges his parents authority, treats all adults as though they are morons, causes the wreck of a friend's dad's vintage car and gets the other guy to accept the fall as some sort of character building exercise........ughhhh.   All this while having only the con mans skills of getting other people to do stuff for him.

P&F are talented and work hard.  Beuller is an underachieving schmoe.
