Anyone see where CDA' council agreed to another 5 year contract to hold IM in CDA'.  Good news for those of us hoping to race CDA in 2014!

I am not surprised....  I have raced there 3x, last year the mayor was at the athlete banquet and talked about how much this race has brought to the town and how they love having it in CDA.  Barring some anti-ironman officials getting elected I would suspect this race will be here for a long time.....  I am hoping to get signed back  up for 2013...   2014 still in the air.

Yeah Kevin, I saw that - I've been anxiously awaiting the announcement the last few months. I'm volunteering at the finish line on Sunday - I plan on using that to get all psyched and then sign up for 2013 on Monday... before I have too long to think about it.

Good plan.  I'll be rooting for you.  I'm planning on 2014, due to grad school not being done until spring of 2013.  That'l give me another year to build a strong base... I guess.  Have fun at the finish line.  Maybe I'll see you there in 2013!

I was getting a little nervous after all the talk of the bike course change but yeah that mayor did seem very enthusiastic about the race last year. I want to come back in a few years and do it again.

Did my first IM in 2006 here, I will NEVER forget it.   I have completed two other races in different venue; neither town or course was close to IMCDA.

Did the race today. New bike course was brutal due to the wind particularly the section going south on 95. Very scenic though and not very technical. Could be fast without a stiff headwind.
