Subject: Frame geometry question: seat tube angle
Looking at frame specs for Cervelo P2s, P3s and P5s there are two platforms to choose from...75 and 78(79 for P5) degree angle seat tubes. Reading some articles about "proper" geometry it seems 78/79 is best. Is 75 vs 78 more a matter of fit or does 78/79 just make a faster bike? I wonder if the shops even know which model they're selling? Out on the road will the difference be noticeable?

I don't believe there are 2 different frames. The seat post supports 2 positions. So if you put the seat on the forward position, the seat angle is 78 and if you put it in the rear position ,it is 75.

I believe the Cervelos have 2 different positions on the seat post that allow the saddle to be mounted at either 75 or 78 degrees.  Its a matter of fit and prefence but most would say that the steeper the seat angle the better it is for a tri bike position as it allows you to get into the aero position better.  Either way, having the ability to adjust between the two positions should give you the most flexibility.

Gotta love BT! You guys are right...the specifications for each bike shows two sets of geometry based on a 75 and 78...thanks for clarifying!
