Pre-race routine:

Arrived early for a good parking space and transition spot. Pumped up my front tire and the valve blew out so I had to change my tube, nice start. This is the second time I've had a flat here before I even started.

Felt lousy to start and swam slower than I thought. Typical pool swim and I never do well in this pool. Locked arms with someone and someone hit me on the head. Never really got into form.

Had to change my front tire when the valve blew out as I was pumping it up. Then my bike computer didn't work so I waited until someone passed me that I thought I could keep up with and used his pace. Only a little slower than I wanted.

Hot and humid and I had trouble keeping my HR down so I just ran easy and finished. I knew I was only running 12 minute miles but I was OK with that.
