Pre-race routine:

Left the house at 6:30, ate 1/2 cliff bar and had a cup of coffee
Event warmup:

Got in the pool at 7:45 and swam a few laps to burn off some energy, and make sure my goggles did not leak. Very nervous for a pool swim, I would rather do open water.

Maybe I was paying for my bike split but this was truly one of the hardest runs I can remember. I felt like walking right from the start. Judging from my pace I was not much faster than walking. Felt like I was running in mud.
What would you do differently?:

Who knows, either the heat got me or going too hard on the bike?

Warm down:

Drank a few waters, took a shower then enjoyed a pancake breakfast.

Event comments:

Nice to finally place in a tri, even if it was a small one.
