Who is in for the race this weekend.  I am doing the international.  The weather sites are saying that the real feel temperature for that day will be 111.  Yowsers.....gonna be a hot one!

Also doing the international. Good thing we have a 7 am start but that run is going to be hot. This should be interesting with the two events the same day.

In for the sprint.  111 degrees?  YUCK.  Guess it won't be a speedy day, more like a death march. Water is already 85 degrees in Richmond.

Setup events screwed me. Closed the race after 500 entrants whereas the website quoted 600. Offered me a charity spot for $150. No thanks. In retrospect, glad to be avoiding the heat.

I pointed this out when they said it was almost sold out on their facebook page. They then went back and changed the website. I then replied on FB, thanks for letting people know your were going to change the amount of people. They then took down all my posts. I am not very happy with VTS!

I am in for the international. I hope the temps don't rise too quickly. I will melt in the run.

Was anyone else  NOT surprised at the change to du?  I was only surprised it took them so long to make the announcement.  I watched the sky light up from Richmond to Williamsburg.

There was a loud clap of thunder just as I got on the bike. They made the right call.

I heard that thunder, I was still waiting to run  I told the lady next to me I was bailing if there was any more.

They did make the right call, but they could have made that call earlier.
