Melon Presser 52116 | Subject: RE: TAN #174: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club TAN Kido - 2012-07-10 12:39 AM Oh, interesting story... The wife was in the service area at Tao between shifts and was laughing at a joke. She has a very LOUD laugh and it seems that people like it (or just say so because it hard to miss). ANYWAY, Bono of U2 hears it, comes around the corner and says something about how great the laugh was and they talk a bit. As a huge U2 fan back in the day, I thought that was pretty cool... Oh, and the whole indecent proposal thing? I would take the million. But bono can afford way more, so I would make it 2. Oooooh how awesome! And it makes me feel so much better because I have a hyena laugh myself maybe it's a hapa thing! |

Sensei Sin City | Subject: RE: TAN #174: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club TAN Hey, I have a sort of serious question. How crazy is it to just sort of give up on everything and just simplify and follow a dream? Is there an age limit? I guess I had a thought, to pick up and move to Cali. I mean, I have a decent start on my retirement funds that I could tap into to get us by for a couple years even if I don't have a job at all. Is it stupid to do that to just be happy? I'm SO tired of Vegas but it's hard to find work here OR California, so I could go just do... Something and live on retirement. I just have to figure out what the "something" is. Then the wife can persue her dream better. I can work in a bike shop or something. I have never been that reckless, but there seems to be something fun and exciting about it. Just packing up and going. I would keep the vegas house and rent it out. I don't want to lose THAT investment. Edited by Kido 2012-07-09 12:02 PM |

It's going. How was the weekend? Things go well on all fronts? Basicly. But overall a great weekend if you take away the heat. How is the weather over in Vegas? Stupid hot. 110-115 this week. I had to get the wife's car from Honda so I decided to get my run workout in by running to the dealership (7.5 miles) at about 2:30pm. The heat beat me down. And I missed my long bike this weekend to sit in an air conditioined casino and movie theater all day Sunday. |

I certainly think you more than qualify on all fronts. |

Sensei Sin City | Subject: RE: TAN #174: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club TAN I have been relecutant to move without a job because we don't have the money. BUT, we actually do, if we dip into retirement. But there's the penalty and taxes to pay. It's STUPID financially. And move of what my companies have contributed would go away but at least I can get MY money back (well, it's ALL my money). But I almost don't care. If I lose this job after this project is done (which I fear). I would rather be in cali than here. I would rather ride waves and my bike, than the couch as I look for work. |

If you and your bride make the team decision to pursue her dream and you support it by finding something to keep yourself engaged and happy. What is there to loose? Getting to a place you love and makes you happy is important in my eyes. I would hate for someone to get stuck in a position where their life was ultimately made much worse due to short-sighted financial planning. |
