Has anyone done this?  Thinking about this as my first sprint. Thoughts? Experiences?

It is a very good first triathlon.  Nice facilities, outdoor 50m pool (with wide lanes), nice roads, and part of the 5K course is even shaded. I've done it twice and plan to do it again next month.

It is one of the more popular local sprints and usually has at least twice as many participants as the typical sprint.  Attracts a pretty strong field from a lot of the local tri clubs.

Ive done it twice. The facilities are nice, the bike course seemed like it was constant U turns and the swim start was congested.

I think they allow too many entrants and don't enforce the swim start seeding very well. You are supposed to enter your estimated swim time and be assigned a number based on that, then line up in numerical order. Sounds simple but more often  that not becomes a cluster.

I passed on it this year for those reasons but it is still a fun sprint.

Thanks for the input.  Was worried about the swim, being this close to the metroplex.  Hopefully my run will get faster in the next few weeks.

It was my 1st Sprint 4yrs agoe & have been doing it every year now. Just make sure to place you're self in the back of the swim line if you are not sure of you're swimming abillitys. I've seen peaple walk across the pool, just stay to the right of the lane & you'll be as good as golden. Bike & run course is challenging enough for the beginners & easy enough for the more experienced to just hammer it out the whole time Its really a great race, good luck.

Who's in for this?

I'll be there watching the swim and the first part of T1.

Best of luck, y'all.
