My daughter Emily made these samples up from photos from D2Shoes....she is very creative and talented.

I for sure want checkerboard. I wanted checkerboard straps but not an option.

I'm hoping for long rides without numb feet. My cleats are to far forward due to wide feet buying men's shoes to big to accommodate width.

I would try to mimic classic Vans - checkered on the heels and toes, with solid in the middle.

What about 8 w/black straps?

I just heard 8 is not possible as checkerboard can't be in the arch So they suggested #6. Wonder if red and checkerboard would look better switched in back on version 6.

Need to get Emily to make yet another version.

Silver color in mock up is off a bit from true color.

8 With black straps even though it is not one of your choices.

8 was the best; but since it's not possible, go with 6.

I like 5, but for a guy.  You can/should go with a bit more flair.

They updated the Ultra's last week so layout of colors is different than what we were on and some limits to what material will can go where. Having knee issues need to make shoe best for knee with fashion and flair a close second.

I'll post more options later today.

This is what we have come up with. They have carbon or kevlar overlay that has black stripes over. So took version 6 and added the black overlay. Outside by heel will have a small triangular shape red w/black overlay as well by sole under D2 logo strap.

I don't like the white straps either, but I was thinking red straps, and make the checks black and red instead of black and white... or red and white like a tablecloth
