jldicarlo - 2012-06-28 2:32 PM I voted for 5, but WOULD have voted for 8 if the straps were not white.  I just think white straps are going to get REALLY dirty, really fast...maybe 8 with silver straps?

Interesting point Jen.

What about 8 w/black straps?

I don't like the white straps either, but I was thinking red straps, and make the checks black and red instead of black and white... or red and white like a tablecloth

Only three choices for straps black, white or titanium.

Okay here is version 9 based on last one with Silver straps. We played off MTB as less to change but would be their ultra shoes.

I preferred 8, but since it was no longer an option, I voted for 5.

I like the white strap version for looks.  If you're going to keep it clean, I think it looks great.  If you're lazy like me and throw your shoes under the bike after a ride, get grease on them, etc., then go for silver.  My 2c.  Warning: according to my wife I have as much fashion sense as an armadillo.

I would be happy with any of them, as I am still a loser with platform pedals. Frown  If I had to pick, I like 9, either of the combinations.

Here they are....love the D2 Ultra shoes custom made. Best fitting bike or regular shoes ever. Can't wait to go take them for a spin. They are much lighter than my other bike shoes and orthotics.

Why I decided to go custom. I had wide feet, had major surgery to put off knee replacement hopefully 5-10 years, and having equipment that allows me to train and avoid injuries is key. I had some numb toe issues on right foot despite different shoes, cycling orthotics, number of bike fits.  In order to get bike shoes to fit I'd order men's which are wider than womens. Cleats were to far forward as I was going for width instead of length which compressed my metatarsals. Ordered them early March and they arrived today.
