What is your recommendation for best ear plugs? I don't necessarily need them for every swim, but when I'm racing in open-water I need something to help minimize getting dizzy. Suggestions?

I use the Speedo silicone ear plugs  I love them because you can mold them to your ear shape, they are cheap, and they last quite awhile.

i['ve used the cheap speedo (or other brand) ear plug you mold and put in ear. In several races, never had water enter head from these. Put my swim cap down over ears too. I hate, hate water in my ears/head in pool or ocean.

The only plugs I use in OW is the silicone....the best thing about using them for races is they are so cheap you can throw them away when you get out of the water. (In the proper trash receptacle of course!)

X2. I tried 3-4 different brands until I found what worked for me.

Seconded. I tried some generic brand of silicone ear plugs and they sucked. Mack's are awesome.

I use the 3M Classic ear plugs from work.  They work great and are free.
