Swim
Comments: This was a huge improvement over last year. I kept an easy does it pace and it paid off. I need to start working on speed, but I believe that will come with time. Siting was a challenge and I kept going to the left. What would you do differently?: Swim straighter, but over all my plan worked. I was expecting to take it slow and be ready for the run. Transition 1
Comments: I spent way too much time here. I am not sure where the time went, but I assume a lost a lot of it putting on and tieing my shoes. What would you do differently?: I think I would try to go with out socks next time and maybe put stretchy laces in my shoes. Run
Comments: The run went very well and was a personal best. What would you do differently?: I think I could have pushed a little harder and I tend to slow down once I am in the shoot. Post race
Warm down: Walk to cool down after the run and ate some of the food that was on site. What limited your ability to perform faster: I think this is a matter of more time training. This is a late day race, so I dont follow my normal routine. I try to load up on food during the day so I wont be hungry come race time. I think I ate too much. I also got to the site a little later than I would have liked and didn't have the time I wanted to set up.
Pretty standard, stretching and a bit of swimming. Although I didn't stretch enough this time.
