  • 750 meters
  • 01m 58s / 100 meters
Comments:

Really happy with my swim. Didn't train nearly as much as I should have for this event! But it went great!!!
What would you do differently?:

More time in the pool or lake.
Transition 1
  • 01m 30s
Comments:

Transition was good… first time with strippers! Thanks guys!!
What would you do differently?:

Maybe practice this.
Bike
  • 51m 25s
  • 23.4 kms
  • 27.31 km/hr
Comments:

Getting on my bike was great! Ran it out of transition and jumped on it like I was a kid again!!! One foot on and the other over… wahoo!!! Then it went a little slower than I would like. Need to work on this. Other than that it was a great ride!
What would you do differently?:

more Time In The Saddle!!!
Transition 2
  • 02m 25s
Comments:

Transition too slow!!! Getting my socks on and my shoes… think I need speed laces at this distance… and NO socks!!!
What would you do differently?:

Figure out the shoe thing.
Run
  • 22m 6s
  • 4.66 kms
  • 04m 44s  min/km
Comments:

Pretty good run. Lots of calf cramping off the bike. But it went well. Great sprint at the end, just about picked up another overall spot from another competitor.
What would you do differently?:

Need to train the bike more. Maybe a couple of more bricks so the bike to run isn't such a shock to my calves.
Post race
Warm down:

Breaking down transition and walking our gear back to the van.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Training in the bike and swim. Run training was good.

Event comments:

Typical post race stuff. Great door prizes.

good job on your race!!

I am curious, was my first time doing this race, had a great time, placed 3rd in AC...., but I am wondering about the distance of the run, did you have a garmin on  or other type of sensor to test accuracy of run?  I find the run times extremely fast for a tri.....including my own, I never gave much on my run and my time reflected a faster run.  Just wondering if you know of anyone that had a gps?

thanks

Nice, finishing third in your age group... As far as the run course my wife ran with her GPS, and it was short, 4.66km not 5km.
