Our little one is only ~9 months old, but we got an Ironman Bob and love it.  It's light, fold-able, and has a stationary front wheel for stability.  They can be pricey, but we picked ours up about half off on CL.

I found the opposite to be true...

We have a BOB as well.  Tried several others.  The BOB is the best.  It has a articulating wheel up front (which can also lock) and I cannot imagine using one that has a locked wheel.

Depends on how fast you want to move with it.

I've got two chariots, a single and a double.  Love them both and the single has survived 4 children and is about to be retired to CL, the double will stick around another year or so then we'll be grown out of it.  I like the chariots full conversion to a running stoller vs the Bob which kind of trys to do it all.  I've used the single some as a bike stroller just don't do that much with the ages I have as a family so mom and I end up walking/pushing while the older ones ride their bikes.

One lesson I learned is you need to carry spare tube/pump on your long runs....learned that the hard way and completely wrecked a tire and almost a rim running it back 3 miles on the double stroller with two children.

Things to look for: 1) climate control and ventilation (think fogging during rain or other times) 2) Stride, I am more of a heel striker (working on it) so my foot comes forward and I hit some joggers 3) Wheel size, 12" minimum IMHO so it doesn't rattle the children's teeth out and allows you to cross gravel at speed 4) Snack/water storage for children (unless you want to stop and hand it to them every time they need soemthing 5) Ability of children to touch moving parts (one jogger has a wheel between the children's legs, even belted in they can move/kick/grab more than you'd think) 6) If you've got a dog consider where a slack leash will land and what it could get tangled in, chariots not too bad but it has grabbed my leash more than once

One thing I like about the chariot and Bob  is they both enclose the children very well, if you have to ditch...in the ditch haha, branches etc wont get to them.  I had a run in with some dogs once and it was nice to know it would take some work for the dogs to get into the children as well.  So I guess that's #7.

Good luck

x2 on this.  Depends on how flat your run course is.

I also bought a BOB Ironman stroller off CL (the Road version with the fixed front wheel). The problem with the fixed wheel is if you aren't 100% pointed straight it starts to veer off to the side. This annoys my wife to no end but I don't mind, it just requires constant correction. I really like it though. I think they are $3-400 brand new but I got mine for $150 off CL.

Ours has a articulating front wheel and it MUST be locked when running.  Other wise it wobels to the point it will cause a wreck.

We have a BOB revolution that we love. My husband is a pretty quick runner (Boston Qualifier.). He said he's never locked the wheel for running. I don't either. DD goes on 20 mike runs with him and loves it. If I were to do it again I would consider a chariot though at they have better suspension than our Burley trailer. I also think it would be nice for Nordic skiing. That said I think for a jogging stroller along the BOB revolution is awesome.

We have a BOB SE.  The wheel can be fixed or moving.  It's nice to have the option for both.  We use them both depending on the situation.

We have a BOB Ironman (fixed front wheel) and a Chariot.

I like the Chariot better, wife likes the BOB better.

She finds the shorter wheel base and lighter stroller to be easier to navigate. It also folds smaller with less effort. Handy for getting packed into a car.

I like the Chariot as I feel it tracks better and seems to need gentle guidance where the BOB needs more frequent input to stay on course. It's way more work to collapse if you need to.

I use the Chariot as a bike trailer and have the Cross Country ski kit for it too.

I've always kept a can of Vittoria pit stop in both strollers for flat repairs. I do have spare inner tubes for them some where but have never flatted either. Used to run a local dirt/gravel trail and some mild single track trails too.

Then what's the point of the articulating wheel?

The BOB Revolution does not have this issue.

We have the BOB revolution SE single and a BOB revolution double. The front wheel swivels or locks, whichever you choose.

I love it.

I've taken both out for runs and it's great. The single is a bit better with the front wheel locked (which is recommended) than the double. To steer, you would have to push lightly down on the handle, lifting the front, then making the course correction. Not a bad thing in the single - at all.

It has a rain shield that covers our child pretty well. I've been on training runs where it was pouring and my little girl was dry the whole time.

The one major complaint I have about the BOB is that you pay dearly for the stroller, and then any add ons you want to add too. You need to shop hard on CL and sales ads for them instead of going full price.

The best thing, is that they really do hold their value for quite a while.

And I know I shouldn't brag, but we did have an accident in ours where it hit a parked car with my 3mo on board (in the double) and he was perfectly fine. Honestly, he didn't wake up at all either.

I back the BOB.

My advice, is BOB consistently gets the best reviews but everyone likes different stuff.  So regardless of what you decide I say save money on one and buy it off of craigslist.  We sold ours on there for half price.  Baby stuff is cheap and plentiful.  If we hadn't kept everything form teh first 2, I would bought everything off of craigslist for the third one.

We've got a BOB Revolution, it's great.  I leave the front wheel free to articulate.  We also got he attachment so a rear facing car seat can be mounted in and it worked great when our now toddler was a baby.  I need to order one of the drink holders for it--we'll be using it more in the next few weeks with another new arrival to the family.

When kiddo was a wee one I started out with one of those fold and go frames that the car seat snapped onto. Great for quick runs in the store, didn't take up much room at all in the SUV, NIGHTMARE for long walks and don't even think about jogging with it. Then I sprang for the Bob sport utility stroller. They're cooler now than they were a few yrs back, but gotta say I really loved that stroller. To me it was engineered for runners like IBM computers were designed by genius engineers for computer geeks. I utilized all the space for everything we ever needed, the pockets were located great for little man to store sippie cups, bags of snacks, toys, and when he was older shells and rocks. Fold and go was easy for me and it really stood up to all kinds of weather. Plenty of room for a tall kid w/ long legs too which was nice as he has grown. I notice that some strollers seem to have a short or bowl like seat once kids are in them... not this... it holds up well. Mine had a fixed front wheel which I liked.

My only complaint is that it isn't ideal to tool around in stores with so good to have a different stroller for those ventures. It can be a bit wide in aisles, etc. But then again, that's not the point of this stroller anyways.

The stroller was for my daughter and she ended up going with the Chariot (Cougar). Seems to be a popular model up here. She found a used one for close to half price of new.
