Well we may be getting a break with the weather finally for this race as calling for 85 and relatively low humidity right now!!! After 2 straight absolute sufferfests that would be quite a relief. Who's getting excited for a great Sunday!

If the weather holds out like that, it will be great. All I keep hearing is how hot the nj state tri is, so hopefully we'll get a good break. My first OLY distance - pretty excited about it!

Me too - first Oly!  I've raced NJ State sprint twice before, but I'm stepping it up this year.  Excited and scared out of my wits all at once.

WOO HOO - here we go...

Volunteering Saturday and racing on Sunday. Yup, it's known as a very hot and humid race, plus water temp is also somewhat uncomfortable and warm, but a fun and well organized race. Definitely start hydrating a few days prior and obviously during the race. Have fun and enjoy!

All these years. Finally some good weather.  Needed a break after having record highs last year.

Anyone know the likelyhood of this being wetsuit legal?  I just checked a NJ Fishing website and it said the "estimated" water temp was 80F.  I doubt thats accurate...

E.D. -  I was listening to the pre-race meeting for the sprint yesterday and they were saying that it should be wet suit legal but ineligible  for prizes.  I plan on going to the Oly pre-race meeting and will let you know.

F.A. - the water felt like bath water yesterday... But not quite 84 (I calibrated my hand before testing). I won't be winning any prizes anyway, so if I can wear one... I sure as heck will!

Olympic results are posted. Congratulations to all that participated and thanks to all the volunteers. Race weather was great (definitely more comfortable then previous years) and water temp just made it wet suit legal.

I thought it was a fantastic race.  PRed my bike (1:06) and PRed my run (43:53).  Did 6 seconds slower on my swim.  It was very hard to sight after the second turn and coming back into the ramp out of the water.  The sun was very much in my eyes.  Regardless, I suck at swimming, so no surprise.

Weather was awesome.  The Redrows always put on a good race there.  Saw someone crash out on the bike right behind me after dismounting to go into T2.

Next year I'm thinking about doing the sprint on Saturday and the Olympic on Sunday.  Do the double.

That was also my 11th triathlon, so now I'm in the double digits.
