rjrankin83 - 2012-07-30 7:19 AM Anybody have any luck signing up on iPhone? Have tickets to the Lions/Jags game in Jacksonville the day of sign up and will probably be in the car on the way there. Is it as simple as logging into/signing up for other races on Active.com?

When date is sign-up?

Go Lions! Stafford/Johnson are unstoppable

 Thank you

I could be mistaken but I thought it was the day after the race (NOV. 4) at noon that it goes online.

PCB is on central time.

Past few years the race hasn't sold out as quickly as in the past.

If you want to sign up on line you will likely be able to.

For those of you planning to sign up on line, I suggest going to an open WTC IM race, like KY or CdA on Active and start registration process to see all the questions you will be asked. To fill out the form takes a bit of time. Be sure to have your medical insurance card with policy number. Many of the questions you have to put something in so some choose to just enter 1 letter. They ask many questions they could use for PR.

It sold out in 16 minutes last year.

So online reg starts at noon local time? 1pm eastern? Also I thought an Ironman race would have it's own insurance? Was just looking over the Ironman Los Cabos reg and was never asked for my medial insurance number? Is that question common?

For IMWI, it was no.

The person has to be there with a picture ID and credit card to register onsite.

I know when I registered for a 70.3 race this weekend, it was asked but not mandatory.  I don't know if that is the case with all of the races or not.

I will be in line early.  Not volunteering but not racing this year either. When I signed up for last year, it was about 2 in the afternoon and I did it on my Android phone.  I don't think it sold out until the next day, probably because it was so cold and windy in 2010.  Last year was really temperate and I think that made the difference.  Hopefully all of the construction is done too-but that'll make more folks from this year want to come back as well.

I have never had a USAT number and have registered for a number of WTC events online.  You just have to get the one day membership which I believe is about $10.

Where do I go to the day that registration opens up to register?  Through active, or do you wait for a link to show up on the ironman website?

Thats a very good question, I suppose that the link on the Ironman website will become available first, which will then lead you to Active.com for the actual registration.  The link will be through the events tab on Ironman.com and should go from Sold Out to Open when its time.  Never registered for an Ironman before, but hoping to hit the Florida one 2013.

This will be my first time registering for an Ironman...if I'm on right at noon, what will be the chances that it sells out before I register?  I heard that last year it sold out in 16 minutes...does registration get buggy, or sticky when so many peoplre are trying to register?  Anyone have any tips?  Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

if you have an account on active, log on to your account before, than when its tme to register use the ironman link and it will go right to your account, it will save a couple seconds, I did it last year for IM AZ and plan on doing this again for FLORIDA, also dont answer any of your athletic career questions, just put a period and move on, that saves time as well.....

When I registered for IM Canada I waited for the link to show up on the Ironman site.  A few people searched directly on active.com and someone created a fake IM Canada event.  They caught it within a couple of hours and cancelled the transaction for those that registered for the fake event.  Lucky for them IM Canada was not sold out and they were able to get in.
