Subject: Baltimore Tri Teams
Greetings! I am starting to train for my first sprint tri in Baltimore. Do people have recommendations on a local triathalon team or club that is good for beginners? Thanks!

I am a member of the Harford Multisport club which is about 25mins north of Baltimore. I joined the club as a beginner and we have people of all ability levels in our club. There are a lot of great people in the club and we host several training sessions on a weekly basis to cover all 3 disciplines of triathlon. Mid Maryland Tri Club: http://www.midmdtriclub.org/

I'd say we're based more in the Howard / Montgomery county areas, but certainly have people from Baltimore.

Lots of regular training opportunities: Tuesday nights we have hill runs, Wednesdays are RBR workouts, Thursdays are OWS, plus there's an active mailing list which leads to all sorts of informal training opportunities.

I know 2 people in the Mid Maryland tri club who both recommend it. They want me to join.

For cycling, I recommend Baltimore Bike Club.

Incredibly nice & supportive group with all ages & skill levels represented. Lots of folks from Baltimore training with Team Fight, which supports the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, too....
