Stung on ride today

We were out on 2338 near Georgetown, something blackish flew out from the side of the rode, landed on my lower lip and grabbed on. It either bit or stung me. I brushed/pushed it off and was so surprised, I never looked for it on the ground. My lip hurt for 10 min or so with the pain radiating a bit into my neck. It bled a tiny bit. Now my lower lip is pretty swollen. I had to ride 25+ miles back home before I could take a benedryl and ibuprofen...

Anyone know what it could have been?

It flew from the ground so I thought it might have been a grasshopper when it first landed on me but don't think any can sting... I think it might have been black and yellow maybe???
