Comments:

Even though the water was warm, they deciced to make it wetsuit legal. I used a wetsuit (sleeveless) b/c I am not a good swimmer. This was a good move by me b/c I didn't overheat and saved a lot of my legs for later. For at least half the swim I was drafting off a guy who wasn't wearing a wetsuit. As I was doing this, I thought how ass backwards that was. I took it easy for the most part knowing that if I try too hard I usually don't go that much faster. Got out feeling as good as I ever do after a swim.

Comments:

I am always surprised how easy it feels at first to run off the bike, my legs just want to keep moving. This run wasn't easy but looking back I could have dug a little deeper. It wasn't that hot and it's a flat course so there really weren't any excuses. I thought the course felt bit short, but not sure.

Event comments:

Very little training this summer. Have been working outside in this heat and have no desire to train before or after work.

Nice job!

What wave were you in? I didn't have a wetsuit (DeSoto Liftfoil), and was in wave 1.  I was drafting off someone else (a taller girl in a TYR Hurricane), but there was a third person hanging around until the 2nd loop.

Thanks... I was in wave 2, looks like I was at least 5 minutes behind you in the water, too fast for me to draftSmile
