My 74 year old avid cyclist dad just completed a fun 60mile ride and died of a massive brain bleed in his driveway on the bike...he had just said to my brother who rode with him..."great ride!!" I took up cycling and paid off an awesome ladies trek I had on layaway and named it G.R. for "great ride"

love you Dad

My other bike (a hybridized mtb that I commute everywhere on) is called "Cadence" and she's a 20-year old Giant Cadex. However, she had a major 2-week vacation this month to the LBS and she almost rides like new, so she's now the "Purple Vehicle Eater" (rather than the Purple People Eater). She tries to keep me safe on the crazy AZ roads around here!

El Diablo...I was in the middle of a looooonnnnnnggggg trainer ride which included watching Talladega Nights and heard the following:

Ricky: From now on, [points to Cal] it's Magic Man...[points to himself] and El Diablo.
Cal: Wh--What's Diablo mean?
Ricky: It’s, like, Spanish for, like, a fighting chicken.
Cal: That's awesome! With the claws?
Ricky: Yeah, with the claws. With the claws and a beak!
Cal: How'd you come up with that, man?
Ricky: Just--sometimes, things click.
