Started logging in February - but I'm at 1803 for the year s/b/r

Thanks for posting this - rarely do I look at my totals and it's very cool to see!

Congrats on the 1,000 mile threshold.  I am roughly 100 miles away but have a 90 mile event coming up in 3 weeks which will put a big dent in my year goal.

Am I a nerd if my goal for the year was enough miles to go from Green Bay to Orlando and I am highlighting my progress on a big map of the Eastern US in my basement?

Not at all.  I didn't have a goal for total miles for the year when I started this year, I just had goals of events I was going to do.  But what you are doing is a good idea.  I might have to do that next year and update it monthly.

Kind of cool to see how many miles people put in.  Last year I would have never thought I would get 1000 miles of cardio work in a year, this year I have it knocked out after 7 months!  I'm ramping up training for two marathons so maybe I can get to 2000 by the end of the year...

1,937 as of July 31.  So I should break 2,000 by the weekend.

Last year was my highest for a full year at 2,590. Thinkin' I'll bust through that this year!

Uh oh, guess I've been slacking.  Just checked my yearly distance graphs and they are shrinking for the most part overall. (With some increase on the running, as it is my weak sport and I've been pushing it a little.)

Bike was just over 100 miles in '09, 2300 in '10, and 1900 for '11.  Less than 400 this year. Surprised

So far this year:

3,419 miles bike

1,062 miles run

43 miles swim

Now i'm thinking about trying for 6,000 bike and 2,000 run for the year...

edited for typo

2012 totals:

Bike:85h 27m 55s  - 1485.46 Mi
Run:37h 33m 24s  - 248.96 Mi
Swim:51h 44m 34s  - 111987.5 Yd

Definitely feeling like a slacker compared to most of these posts!  Oh well, time to start ramping it up for my first HIM in 2 more months.

Had to do some creative math as my logs are in km and I usually don't track running distance, just time. (Just estimated it at 5 minutes/km.) So far this year have moved myself (via swim, bike, or run) at least 3210.72 miles. Counted only training--I walk and bike a lot to run errands so the real total is more. 2263.06 miles of biking, 822.12 miles of running, and 125.54 miles of swimming.

While watching the Olympics the other night one of the commentators mentioned how many yards/meters an elite swimmer might swim in his/her life leading up to an Olympics. I started wondering just how many total miles I've run in my life. I've been at it since 10, consistently since 13, very rarely has a week gone by without putting in at least 10 miles. Yikes--I think I might have run around the world over the past 30+ years!

We had a calm winter in the midwest so I could get off my trainer that much earlier (early Feb).  I'm at 3,725 on bike, run (no idea but probably over 500) and swim is anyone's guess.  By the end of the year, I hope to hit 6,000.  Depends on how the fall goes.

The it's time to start training for IM Florida!!  That's assuming I don't chicken out on registration day.
