The road race was ugly, IMO, but road cycling can redeem itself in the Olympics tomorrow during the TT.

Riders recon the course in pics here: http://www.cyclingfans.com/node/6068

Predictions?!

I'm taking a top-5:

1. Wiggins

2. Froome

3.Martin

4. Phinney

5. Cancellara

Not a spoiler.

I'm digging the Thrones at the end of the TT.  Wondering why they don't do that for all events at this games?

I kind of love this quote from Cancellara on 7/30: "I am a hard man. I’ve had a lot of things happen this year. The mental aspect is important. I have two legs and I can ride. I have been training many, many hours for the Olympics.  We will just have to see how it goes.”

SPOILER ALERT!!!!

Yes, yes you are. I'm not even a Brit and I wanted to run through the thread screaming when I saw the outcome. I'm a big fan of Team Sky and Wiggins, it just made my day to have Wiggins with gold and Froome with Bronze. I am glad to see Tony Martin take the silver after his wrist injury in the tour. And how big a pair of balls does Cancellara have to even finish when he was obviously in immense pain!

I must say... I pull for the 'mericans in any event they are stand a chance in, but when the stars and stripes obviously won't be flying, I pull for the Brits.
