Run
Comments: Just decided to do this race this week. I had not looked at the course to see what features it contains. Boy there were some hills on this sucker. I don't remember any flat parts. Good course overall, I think about 1/10th short though. No issue with that. Good amount of supporters too. I haven't been training for any distance, pace, or race so this wasn't expected to be a good one. It was ok though. I ran a much faster one in Feb-Mar time frame. Don't like all of the elite runners in the race though. The 10k was won by two men that turned around and raced the 5k and won that one too. Apparently if you are a elite runner you can swoop in and take all of the hardware and cash prizes and leave the rest of us empty handed. Someone said they are State and national level competitors. What would you do differently?: Train, get more rest, and eat way better. I had no plan, taper, or nutrition schedule. I pounded water down the day before to prevent heat injuries. Post race
Warm down: Stretched and walked around What limited your ability to perform faster: Preparation. Just entered to get a run in that would make me push myself. Last updated: 2012-08-04 12:00 AM
