Comments: This was a great race. Felt good most of the time. Had some neck pain in the middle but was able to bilateral breath and it was tolerable. Had a few freaky seaweed moments, but for the most part was able to keep it under control. I think my neck issues were more from tensing up than breathing issues. I was pretty happy to see the end point. What would you do differently?: Definitely need to train more if I want a better result. Post race

Got up early and headed out to see the 10k swimmers take off. I was really glad that I wasn't doing the 10k. Stood around, got marked and headed to the bus to take me to the starting line.
No real warm-up. I figured that 3.1 miles of swimming was enough. But the start was a bit rough so maybe I should have done something.
