Not sure if anyone else did this today.

First time at the event.  Thought it was well organized and good venue.

the swell in the water was *brutal* on this day.

The bike was a two loop in Rondeau park.  Flat, fast and nicely tree shaded.

The run was an out and back on a forest road, so dirt most of the way.

Very nice event and I would recommend to anyone.

I also raced. I was the only guy who managed to find a pothole large enough to cause a snake-bite flat. That swim was insane.

Swim was choppy for sure.  Added minutes to swim time.

Sorry to hear about the flat, that sucks in a short race man.

I'm a local so will keep coming back to this one.  Overall a decent race, little spendy compared to other races (MSC series for example) for what you get and overall race atmosphere but.....all to a fund raising cause.

I think I remember that section of the road. Gave me a good little bounce. At 235#, I keep the pressure up on the rear to avoid the issue.

I actually found the road itself to be pretty decent. I was just riding on the FAR right side of the road except when passing, and I just fell into a pothole that was a bit shaded & hard to see. The impact even bent the rim/track area a little bit - I had to use an adjustable to straighten it out after the race. It sucks (read: expensive) flatting on latex too. I rode the remaining 17km on 60psi up front because I only had a half-filled C02 canister.

The run was gorgeous. Easily the best part of the day LOL.
