Comments: I used this as a training run so started very conservatively, increased speed at 7km and then again at 14km. Last 7km felt a lot faster and I overtook in excess of 20 people, I just targeted them - I would see them a few hundred meters ahead and think, okay I got you. Made it very enjoyable. The Galloway walkrun method works well in that you start slowly so by the end you have something in the tank. What would you do differently?: I would like to race this next year instead of using it as a training run. I'd like to sit with the 2hour pace balloon see how I go. Post race

walk from car to race start, cold morning so waited til last possible moment to bag drop.
Breakfast - porridge/oatmeal, toast and peanut butter, cup of tea and 1L of water.
