Subject: New Set of Race Wheels - Spinergy
I am looking at adding new wheels to my bag of tricks, I figure I need all of the help I can get. I have looked at Zipp 404's but cant bring myself to spend $1,500. I have heard some reasonable things about spinergy and in particular I am looking at the spinergy stealth PBO wheelset, carbon overlay - 1620g. Anyone who has feedback on this particular wheelset in regard to power transfer, climbing vs. flat road, transfer of road irregularity, etc.

Anything would be helpful, thanks

If you want the ultimate in aero, go to ebay and get a Hed3 front and a Renn disk rear (or Zipp if you prefer), and you'll pay a lot less for a better set-up.

I just scored a set of Spinergy's with three tubulars and a 9 speed Dura Ace cassete on Ebay today for $250.00 figuring that I won't spend more than my bike cost on aero wheels. These wheels are on Ebay often (this month) and I am going to give them a shot. If the mood strikes me, I may cover the rear wheel to get a disk on the cheap. Time will tell.
