Austin Tri Rock (Labor Day)

I will be there as well. Was there last year as a spectator. Will be my first OLY. I think the bands are new this year

See Yall next week. I did this last year as my first oly. Looking forward to a better showing. Looks like the same course as last year.

The water looks like it is warm this year. I am expecting no wetsuit.

I'm in as well--doing the Oly. I live in NC, am training in San Antonio, and will be staying at the Intercontinental on Congress for the weekend. I know nobody and am always up to meet some BTers.

Any news on the water temp? The website seems to be pretty sure it'll be wetsuit legal.

I had the same concerns about the wetsuit. I'd be very surprised if its wetsuit legal. I think Tri Rock uses generic wording to use in all their events.

I'll be staying in Wimberly at my Dad's. I might run into you at the expo. I'll have on a red Wally's Bike Shop T-shirt, a little advertising for a friend of mine.

Seems to be a toss up on wetsuit. Last year it was too warm. FWIW, there was a race there in late may in the same water and it was also too warm.

Swim course change. Saw this over on ST. The swim route will now go east then back west. The opposite of years past. Looks like there's lots of vegetation in the lake.

The Tri Rock Austin website was updated today with the Athlete's Guide and confirmed swim wave starts.

I'm out.  Injury is not healing fast enough.  Enjoy the race!
