My suits last about 4 months but since I don't pay more than $4 for them, it doesn't bother me. If you are small enough to fit into kids suits, try getting some on the cheap at LandsEnd.com, Old Navy or Target. LandsEnd suits last the longest and the last one I purchased for $3.43 kicked the bucket at 5 months. I had Sugoi suit that lasted three years which cost about $19. It was tight, well-fitting and fade resistant. To find on the cheap is always a hit or miss. Swim Outlet sells them. http://www.swimoutlet.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=22001&colo...

The Tyr Durafast and the Speedo endurance last much longer.  Those are the ones made from polyester.  I think dolfin uglies too are polyester.

Yep, the ones listed will last a lot longer.

I bought 3 Speedo Endurance suits and they are still going strong after 9 months. Unfortunately, the size I normally buy in spandex/nylon is not the same in polyester. So I have 3 suits that are too long and too big in the bust, so I have to wear a sports bra under the swim suit... AND lucky me, these suits JUST WON'T DIE. Ha!

I bought a Sugoi poly suit for $38 four years ago, I think.

The elastic is just starting to give out but since I do 100% of my swim training in a wetsuit in the Pacific ocean I dont need it to be in perfect shape, it'll last a while still.
