Subject: Earned my Tri Tattoo

Quick back story:  Last year I was sitting at 240 pounds, depressed, angry, stressed out with life work family kids, etc.  A buddy talked me into training for a Sprint distance tri.  Finished it.

Fast forward 20 months:  Down 60 pounds.  Depression is gone.  Stress is easily controlled.  Kids are still crazy, but I smile when I'm around them now.  Will have done 10 tris, several 5Ks, 1 10K, and one Half Marathon by the end of the season, not to mention multiple Centuries.

I owe this to triathlon and want to remember it with a tattoo.  I told my wife that I would like to get one after I achieved the HIM distance, which I did last weekend.   Crazy enough but this is the exact tattoo that I want to get, other than I want it stacked on my right shoulder blade....  (USAT Logo)

 

One more tri for the season then it's time for some ink!! 

Any recommendations, thoughts, etc??

That looks like a good one to go with.  Kinda tribal, and easy to blend/add to if you're so inclined in the future.

Stay away from the M-dot until you've done a full 140.6 (if at all), and definitely avoid the USAT logo.

I got basically that same design but in a circular pattern. Each part is chasing the next. Plenty of room in the middle for another addition if I ever decide to add to it.
