They had times posted for AGs on the back of the timing shack for all but the W30-39 AG...

I've never had the wrist bands either.  And I'm not 100% sure I beeped in all the right places.  I'm kinda bummed as I think I did well and I'd really like to know my times/place.

BUT - it was a fun day and I'd do this tri again   I especially liked the announcer - he was funny and did a good job of trying to recognize everyone across the finish line.

fyi - here's a link to the tri fitness page and comments on the timing issue.  Bummer for them, I bet they're stressed.

Having set the swim course last year, but not this year, I garantee that the swim course was not 600 yard +/- 10%.  Last year we set it from waters edge to waters edge as 600 yards and with it being as shallow as it is at the beach that made for some very short swims and long wades.  Given the extra lengths that has been reported here I would guess they over corrected.  Bummer about the timing, now I'm extra glad I skipped it this year.  Hopefully they work it out soon.

do you know of anyone who has commented on the distance of this as well?  also, I am wondering how accuarte the run distance was?  it seemed quite a bit longer than a 5k but I might have been just tired at that time.

Sorry - but I had around 2.88 on the run - I ran it a couple times early in September and got similar numbers.  It definitely wasn't long - but the trail run after mile 2 really slows you down.  I went from a 7:30 to 8:30 - and it wasn't fatigue!

here's an update - these times and placings are not correct.  At least for me personally -per  my watch/bike computer states I should be nearly 15 min faster...

It's a bit dissapointing.

How are accurate are everyone else's results??

Unfortunately these times aren't even close   I didn't wear a watch but my wife took pictures and I can look at the time stamps to put together an idea of my times.  My estimated time seems right compared to to results the listed today

.... but ...

I like playing with data so I copied the results PDF into excel and ordered the rows by time to see where I placed overall.  I found that roughly 100 people are missing from the results completely.  Also, if you look at the of the finishing photos where you can see 4-5 people's bib numbers, then look them up in the results, their times are sometimes several minutes apart. Sometimes the results list 10 people as finishing between two people but you can see in the photo that it's just them.

Hopefully the next round of results fixes some of these glitches.

p.s. the swim was 1000y?!  I made good time.

The results are a joke!!  Part of the problem is that the swim start did not go off as scheduled.  They announced the start times, but when they actually sent the people off was many minutes different.  I noticed this when I checking on my husband.  He was supposed to start at 8:41.  After he had been off for many minutes - I looked at my watch and it was just 8:41.

I took pictures of every start wave except the final one.  My camera's time stamp is several minutes off, but it can be use to determine the times between the wave starts.  My husband collected all of this data and calcualted the time differences between the start.  He sent all of this information over to TriFitness.  It doesn't look like they used it at all.

It wouldn't be hard to take the time stamped data and create a spreadsheet to give the correct info.

That's what I was thinking too but sometimes people from the same AG had differences in their time.  Maybe those are outliers where they just entered their start time for the wrong AG or something.  I started trying to fix it but with the results missing so many people I figured it wasn't worth it.

Maybe just place us in the order we crossed the finish line, without times?  Someone was watching at the finish line to make sure we all beeped.  At least that way they could place us within our AGs (assuming most started with the correct wave (most people probably did, right?)).

Those times are so far off, I don't really think they should have been posted...  Total bummer for TriFitness.
