Swim
Comments: Knew I could do the distance, but didn't swim but only swam a handful of times this summer. What would you do differently?: swim more. Transition 1
Comments: I'm slow. What would you do differently?: not drop stuff. Bike
Comments: had no idea how this would go. Only had 2 rides of 45 miles but had 2000+ feet of climbing. What would you do differently?: ride more. Especially the tri bike. Only rode it for over an hour 1 time. Transition 2
Comments: had to go to the loo, or so I thought. Run
Comments: I was waiting for this bit. I've run as much as I cycled this year. I wasn't terribly fast as my lack of bike fitness and overall fitness hit about mile 9 but I was pretty steady. I'm super happy at how many in my AG I passed - and passed with authority. What would you do differently?: not stop at that one station to get water in my mouth rather than up my nose. 17 seconds away from sub 2 Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: overall fitness. Fell into the 'it's only a half' mentality. Plus, moving from Louisiana to Pitt didn't help. Didn't have the cycling as I don't have any idea where to ride and wasn't keen on doing it in a place where I have no one to call in case of troubles. Last updated: 2012-09-12 12:00 AM
