Run
Comments: I tried to keep in mind that short races don't feel comfortable, but that I shouldn't go too hard too fast. I also was thinking about the 7:55 mile trial I did at track, and how blazing fast that was for me! And I ran 4 x 800 after that, so I could do this race. What would you do differently?: I do wish I had pushed a little harder (always!). But it was a tougher course with quite a few decent size rolling hills, and there was a big hill to start, so I guess overall this was a good race. And the benefit of running tiny community races? 3 out of 14 in my AG!!! Never been there before!! Post race
Warm down: Stretched then Ran 3 miles. What limited your ability to perform faster: it was hot and humid, so I got that head-gonna-explode feeling. Probably could have gone a little harder on a cooler day. Thank goodness it started at 8:30! Event comments: It was a very small local race, so I didn't expect much. It was a nice small race, although a tougher course. Last updated: 2012-09-12 12:00 AM

Didn't have peanut butter for my english muffins - booo! - so I had to settle for a granola bar. Wouldn't really matter but I was running 3 miles after the race for my long run.
jogged from my car about 2/3 of a mile to the race start, then did some dynamic stretches.
