Anyone use any Kinesiology tape during workouts? What's your injury/prevention? I have a sore low back (that totally went out for a few days) and my PT suggested taping some areas-now that Im getting back to normal.

Curious to know thoughts and uses of this.

Hey Angie

I use Kinesio taping all the time . Most often on the back of my calf . I find taping works . Some of my cycling club mates think it is a load of rubbish .

I have found using cheap no name brands not as good as the more expensive tapes .

There are good videos on the KT website about how to apply it .

Hope this is of some help

I have been using the KT tape for a few weeks in attempt to help my PEB (Pes Ansurium Bursitis) on medial left knee.  I have mixed reviews.  I had been using the regular KT tape, but it came off very easy (even with shaved leg and ETOH on skin).  I just got the KT pro and it seems to work better.  Understand in my use its not a cure all, but I will say it helps the pain.  I should rest the leg for a week or two, but I am 7 weeks from a marathon and really just dont have the time.

Just my thoughts..

Ive been using KT tape on my hip for the last few weeks.
While whatever was causing my pain still hasn't resolved it self. The tape is working wonders tho. I can run relatively pain free for about 6 miles.

i've been using it on my left knee for a few weeks. The knee got achey during a trail run...saw my chiropractor who is also certified in KT. He showed me how to tape my knee. I'm training for a marathon. Have run two 20 milers with it. The stuff works when applied correctly.

I use it to help with my patellar tendonitis, I think it works.

I prefer Rock Tape to KT Tape. The KT tape falls off quickly, while the Rock Tape stays on for days.

I have be using KT tape for Posterior Shin splints. I used that combined with the 2XU compression sleeves. I really can say they make a dramatic difference. When i run without either, i am in sever pain and can barely walk. With it, i do feel some slight discomfort, but i can continue with my workouts.

I have patellar tendonitis on both knees and I tape'em when running. I helps to take the edge off.
