Trisports

I just picked up a Trek Speedconcept 2.5 at the Trek Superstore.  I ran into the same thing out there. No one stocks any TT bikes.  I did a lot of research and since my budget was under $2k, my option was that bike or purchase one from the internet.  With that big of a purchase I really wanted to get on the thing and make sure it felt right.  They have more of the 2.5 and 7.0 2011 models left.  The 2.5 was $1299 down from $2098 retail.  It was great.  The guys at the shop put me on the trainer, got it all setup, then I went for a 15 min ride up the street.  He did a couple more adjustments and I was out the door with it.  I had a felt 65 with aero bars.  OMG this bike is so much faster then my old bike.  And lighter also.  It is an aluminum frame TT bike, but is lighter than my old bike.  I didn't want to break the bank, but I wanted a decent bike.  It had good reviews on the forums I checked.  Good luck!

I've been to the TriSports retail shop a few times, bought my Scott Plasma there, and I've dealt with them online 4 or 5 times. 

The times I've been by the store they had Scott, Quintana Roo, and Cervelo bikes on the floor, and more in the warehouse behind the store (same building). The store isn't huge, and the showroom floor doesn't have a gigantic selection, but they have a big warehouse with a lot more in-stock. Apparently they don't carry Felt bikes because of some kind of problems with the manufacturer's customer service, and I don't recall seeing Trek, but that doesn't mean they don't carry them.

I've not had any problems dealing with them. Apparently some folks have had some problems with ordering from their website.

I like the Speedconcept but my concern is what about it if doesn't fit me? I was told that the SC is low and long but i have kind of short legs so it will probably don't fit me.

I guess I wish i can just go to one place and get it over with, just listen to the fitter and get whatever he says, I feel that if I go to a place that only offers a brand or two, well, I know what the fitter is going to say ; )

Thanks for the suggestion, if i knew enough about bikes and knew that the speed concept would fit me, I would be there in a heart bit.

I never was pressured to buy and I let the guy know that I was there to try it out.  He was totally cool about it.  I felt like it it didn't fit he wouldn't have sold it to me.  They are great guys.  Some of the other local bike shops have the snob guys that think they are too good.  The guys at Trek and Performance are really cool.  My advise is bring your gear to get fitted.

Forgot to mention. I got to ride my bike today and I able to better my avg mph by over 2mph over 16.35 miles.  It was a short lunch ride so I didn't go that far.  I was able to beat last week's time by over 6 minutes.  I was blown away.  The best part.  No pain in my knees or neck.  What difference a better fit more high performance bike will have on your ride. I bought my first tri bike this summer.  James at Hawks Tri Cycle in Albuquerque was great, no pressure, and I felt like I got a bike that fit very well, and a good price.  It's nice to have the local support for tune ups and adjustments, too, but I'm not sure where you live.  Good luck!

I just moved from ELP last month, after living there for a total of 3 years. We bought 2 bikes at TriSports while living there and recommend to any of our friends in the area to make the drive: worth it. None of the LBS in the area offer the selection or knowledge of fits & brands like TriSports. If there is a bike on sale on their website, even on sale, you can call and they'll hold it and a spot for a fitting/try out for you--just tell them when you'll be there. I'm sure ABQ has decent bike shops too, but they might have more specialty places for roadies & mtn bikers. In the tri world, TriSports is the place to go if you're close enough. 

I was going to recommend Hawks as well, if you decide to come to ABQ.  I've not purchased a bike from them but I know they carry several lines and James is very knowledgable about bike fit.
