Anyone in?  We'll be there making of ourselves.  Looks like rain and cold so this should be an exciting year.  Mudd should be down since it's been so dry.  Good luck everyone and if you see a guy rocking "The bonnet" hair cut (mohawk that goes from ear to ear instead of front to back) call him some terrible nasty swear words.  I'll be ok with it.

I'm on a 100k relay team for the first time.  Not exactly sure what to expect, I only joined up with them this week but they seem like fun people.

I ran the 50 miler at DWD Gnaw Bone this year and had my knees and calves shredded by the brush sections, and I ran the Hallucination 100 last weekend through 8 hours of rain overnight, so I figure this can't be much worse than those two combined, right?  Anyone have recommendations of must-have gear, etc for DWD Hell?

No X-Country fro Dirty Old Men  is back for their 3rd straight year.  We'll be camping and drinking out at Hell Creek Ranch Friday and Saturday Night.  Too bad about the altering of Stupid Lake!!

Yeats, any leg with Moderate or above listed for Poison Ivy, I put Ivy Block on my legs and arms and use an Ivy Wash post race.  Other than this, our most important provisions are beer and Bloody Mary fixings.  You'll want to pack another pair of shoes and at least on change of running clothes.  More if you are running This Sucks.  I've drawn Pure Michigan as one of my legs and think there may be some wetness added here too.

While I hope the rain holds off, the downpour two years ago did very little to dampen the fun.

I bring some towels, extra shirts and at least three pairs of old shoes.  This year I get the Rave Redux, This sucks, and Vertigo.  We'll see how I handle that amount of milage.  I think the rain will make it cold wet fun.....

Doing the 50K with my dad and some friends, hope to see you all out there.

Poison Ivy block and a bath in the lake after work pretty good.

You don't count I know you and am used to your insults.  Get the trash bags it looks like rain.  Maybe we should tarp your truck.

See everyone saturday morning.  Like the mail we'll run in rain, sleet, snow, or hail.

Based on your recent running experience you are very well prepared for this.

You have 5 members on your team?  Based on the mileage alone they are certainly counting on you as the anchor of your team.  11-14 is normal mileage per person and they gave you 16.8.  They are all fun.  Vertigo is one of the most challenging out there to be sure.  You don't have much time between runs early either...runs #2 and #5.

Prepare for hills and mud, you'll be fine.

I was going to ask who he ##### off to get 2 longish legs with only a 2 leg break in between.  If that team is "cheating" early, the break will be even shorter.  I did  Purgatory 2 years ago.  Nothing to technical and the most enjoyable part come at the beginning (along with the best opportunity to grub).  I'm doing Buttslider, Stripper Pole and the new and not really defined Pure Michigan (wetness Maybe).

Haha, so I've got some sadistic teammates then? I think it'll be fun to get my first 2 runs done early and then be able to cheer and have some recovery beverages before my last leg.  Definitely going to bring multiple shoes/socks/clothes for the muck and water, and warm stuff for in between legs.

Looks like it's going to rain Friday day and night, high-40s for the start.  BRRRR!  But good running weather.

Yea I think you'll be fine.  You run the poto all the time.  The majority of the terrain is the same.  Throw in some jumps off course and you have the picture.  If nobody pointed you to it here is the link to the descriptions and course details
