Sure am! Just started the Max workouts after the recovery week.

I'm enjoying the challenge they're giving me...I can usually wring out my clothes afterwards. Drank about 1.5 liters during today's plyo intervals. Take it seriously when they say go at your own pace, especially when there's new exercises.

My husband is liking my results, and he's probably going to go through it after his next tri.

Stick with it!...even when you feel like nothing's happening.

I started doing them back in February to go along with my martial arts and strength training.  Yup, they are fun in a challenging kind of way and great cardio workout.

What I did was go through the program once and then after that I created a custom hybrid program between Insanity, wait training and martial arts 5 days a week with Saturday being just weights and martial arts.

One of the criticisms I keep seeing about the Insanity program is the lack of strength training in it but that's just not accurate.  There is a lot of strength training.  Once I counted the number of pushups I did in one workout and over 130.

I am very new to Triathlon training which I started 3 weeks ago so I can do some HIMs and IMs next year so I have stopped the Insanity workouts.  But I am trying to think of way to incorporate them as a hybrid but I don't think it will fit in until cooler weather.

I have done the program twice, not while training for tris. In fact my last round of Insanity kick started my training for a half-mary. I am look at doing some of the workouts beginning in November to help with auxiliary muscles and rounding out my training. I will probably only do 2-3 workouts a week. I have tought of doing Insanity completely to kick my weightless into high gear. My goal next season is to be about 30lbs lighter.

Couple of questions for you...

1) how did it feel going through it the second time? easier or like you were starting over?

2) are you going to choose 2-3 specific workouts from the program or just spread whole thing out over a longer period?

Done with my first round in three weeks and want to get ready for my first sprint tri in Nov. Trying to decided whether to drop program for a few weeks or work it into training so I don't lose my gains. Any thoughts?

Good luck on your goal

The second time was harder as I was in better shape, this I pushed harder. I knew the exercises so I could just get into it.

I will probably take the program and just expand it. So it will take me 2-3 weeks to complete 1 week of Insanity. That mixed in with my s/b/r should get me pretty set going into next season.

I completed the Insanity program over the summer and saw awesome results. It was the first program that actually lived up to its promise -- intense workouts and quick results. I'm really happy with the beachbody brand so far so I've been looking for a new program of theirs to try out. I'm thinking about pre-ordering the Les Mills Combat. It's really different from the Insanity program though, apparently the Combat is a mixture of boxing, kickboxing/muay thai, taekwondo, capoeira, karate, and jiu jitsu. I did kickboxing a few times, but never have tried martial arts, so it'll be a new and exciting workout hopefully.

Good luck to everyone currently doing the Insanity program!!

I've tried it around 8am before I've eaten, and it's too much of an energy drainer. I need something in my stomach to get me through it. Got queasy. :/

On another note...I am trying to lose a few pounds, too. Found that this has toned my body, and I like the results so far, but I have not dropped more than 3 lbs due to gaining muscle.

Be ready to sweat! Good luck

Starting tonight.  Was going to skip the fit test and go right into  Plyo Cardio Circuit (Disk 2).  Good idea?  I figured the results would speak for themselves.

oh my aching back and arse!  Well, that and the inners of my thighs.  I'm only on day 1.

Cardio-wise I didn't find it that bad.  (Although I'm sure that will change.)  "Power" is obviously my weakness.  59 days to go...

Great.  *rolling eyes*

Unfortunately, our plyometric video didn't work, so I don't know what we're going to do about that....

I got my box delivered today, and I am afraid to open it. I am still very very overweight with the upper body strength of my tiny nine year old daughter. I may not even be aboe to start this thing. I can my fat a$$ through a half iron, but can't do a single pull up.

This should be interesting.

Did you figure out/fix the plyo workout? How's it going now that you're a couple weeks into it?

It didn't work in any dvd player, but it DID work in our computer.  We just made a copy and it worked just fine!  We had to do this with our fit test on our 2nd time playing it.  (Maybe we have screwy players?)

Started 3rd week and it's going just fine.  I find that the fit test wipes me out sepecially 2 days AFTER it.  I feel great doing the test, but then two days later I feel like lead.

I've done a class very similar to these videos at my gym.  I don't feel it's helping me cardio-wise, however, it is getting the lateral movement muscles very well.  I also love the focus it has on the core in just about every move.

I think it's a good way to stay rounded in my workouts and I'll probably throw some insanity workouts in there during the regular season!

How's everyone else doing????

Good news! No pull ups in Insanity Just take a deep breath and start...and keep going. You will hate some days. But what will be interesting is how strong you'll feel when you're done

half-way through the program and I'm really liking it.  I've been keeping to my regular sbr schedule as well.  The first week or two was tough, but now I think my body will go into shock when I stop the program.

I'm quite happy we purchased this.  It will be a good workout to throw in during the season for when "life" happens and you can't get your normal workout in.

How's everyone else doing???

I'll be starting in a week or two. One question: are the Insanity workouts the only working out/training you're doing? Are you keeping up with any S/B/R as well?
