Master 4117 Toronto | Subject: Good stuff: your good news for the week 9/21 Hi All - what's up with you? What good stuff is going on? I love reading it every week so post it up! Doesn't have to be major (those are good too) - don't they say it's the little things in life? |

Master 4117 Toronto | Subject: RE: Good stuff: your good news for the week 9/21 Well, let's see ... - my mom is recovering well - she had chemotherapy all this summer - and sound more and more like herself! - I am still enjoying relative down time after my ironman in August and it's nice to go out for a run or ride with no goal or 'have to do's' - just enjoying time out. - I love September weather. Although the days are shorter and cooler the air is so crisp - there's just something about it! |

Champion 10668 Tacoma, Washington | Subject: RE: Good stuff: your good news for the week 9/21 * Went on a nice hike with Lisa on my birthday Wednesday. * Only worked 3 days this week. * The extended summer weather has been WONDERFUL! (though it rained last night and is still cloudy today) The cloud in the silver lining is that I couldn't eat yesterday, and I can't today until after the colonoscopy at 1:15... But I got another day off! |

Champion 10550 Austin, Texas | Subject: RE: Good stuff: your good news for the week 9/21 Finally, finally, FINALLY some good news! The latest immigration lawyer that we talked to says that I don't have to get shipped back to Canadia! In his opinion, it's a no brainer and won't really be a problem at all - and once we have all the stuff needed for the paperwork, I could have my Green Card within about 5 months. The only snags are that I won't be able to go home for Christmas to see the family, and it's going to cost about $4,000. But I don't care! I get to stay with in the US with Tony! :D |

Master 8247 Eugene, Oregon | Subject: RE: Good stuff: your good news for the week 9/21 Just finished reading final drafts of the stories my students wrote and they are making a lot of progress in writing already! It's amazing when you see they're actually learning what you're trying to teach. (For non-teacher triathletes....it's like training for a race many months away. There's a lot of patient repetition, dutiful slogging, and wondering if you're really getting anywhere sometimes!) I did two workouts this weekend (indoor bricks) without injuring anything else or aggravating current injuries (long saga). Now if I can just get to the point where I can put on my socks without pain....On the plus side, I live in the tropics so I only need socks for running. I actually have time to sit around bored on the couch and respond to stuff like this. |

Regular 1023 Madrid | Subject: RE: Good stuff: your good news for the week 9/21 I so love this thread. Congrats to those cancer free and traveling to cool places. For me - My sophomore in high school daughter is running for class president. Unlikely she'll win but that she's putting herself out there is huge. - My senior in high school daughter is getting her college applications in order. Its great to see her making solid choices. Unaided... - I run a baseball league here in Madrid and we just got confirmation that a friend of mine Jeremy Guthrie who pitches for the Royals is coming out here to do a clinic in October. - I'm getting a new mountain bike today, and a new bed tomorrow. - The workouts go well, the wine is good, and the weather is great.... |
