Swim
Comments: good swim. the way the wind was blowing we had two sides with a cross wind and one against the wind. on one side it was tough not to get pushed out from the course. Everyone struggled to stay online. What would you do differently?: try to draft but that was difficult with the wind. it was moving us all over the place. Transition 1
Comments: had a great transition. I had a poor transition spot assignment. But I made the most of it and past by at least 4 people here. What would you do differently?: keep up the great transitions. Bike
Comments: I held a good pace and raced very efficent with the wind charging with the wind and getting a small profile against the wind. What would you do differently?: The bike portion went well. I would carry another water bottle I had the spot but did not fill it. Transition 2
Comments: good transition. I had to move someones wet suit that was in my spot but that did not affect transition. Good change of shoes and out. I even got a drink to try and help from the lack of drinks on the bike. What would you do differently?: nothing. Oh wait not drop my race belt when I leave transition. Run
Comments: I got to run down 6 people. that normally does not happen I am normally trying to just hold my place. What would you do differently?: kick a bit earlier and shave a few seconds. Post race
Warm down: stretch and walked around with the kids for a while. then stretched some more. What limited your ability to perform faster: I performed really well. Event comments: everything was great but the bike course water station did not have anyone to pass out water or gatoraid. it was a late start due to the sprint start before ours. It was glorious. Got transition set up and began warm up. Had a good breakfast and felt great. Even got to volunteer to be a stripper for the sprint race adn still have 45 more minutes to warm up.
Good set of sprint runs. stretching and a good 200 swim.
