Can you write about the currents and tides last year? Current north to south? mild?  tide swimming into the harbor-neutral, in,out?

I don't see anyone blogging on water conditions.

I'm in for the 2.4 mile.  Turns out it's really far from where I live and I'll be leaving at 4:30 to get there.

That's about what time I'm leaving for the race in the morning since I'm coming from Orange County. I want to get there in time to park and catch the shuttle to the 1.2 mile start.

I'm really interested in a review of tides, currents, and how far out the Tiki Swim was from the Beach in the area of the 2 rock jetties.  I swim this area and know of the rough water there and nasty currents. I swim far out alone. Another guy told me the Tiki is WAY far out. Curious.
