Subject: RE: Staging on Sunday morning
crgstphn - 2013-05-11 7:22 AM

HIM first timer.  I'll be there to register on Saturday and familiarize myself with transition areas, but am in a later swim wave and am considering staging my bike and transition bags on Sunday morning.   Is there any reason that I haven't considered that this is a bad idea?

Thanks for any input.

None that I can think of.  But I always drop my bike early if they let me as I just don't want to mess with it race morning.  I have enough on my mind race day.  Also don't want to try to wheel my bike through all the people getting body marked.

A buddy of mine is checking in on Sunday.  This is rare as most as most 70.3 races don't let you check bikes on race morning.  enjoy.

I'm also right behind the pro women.  Like to start early but makes for a boring ride.  I don't pass anyone.

Duane

Holy crap it's hot! Summer has arrived down here. Ride run brick yesterday was hot but today's run was brutal. Just get prepared and we'll do fine. Maybe they can switch it to a reverse Tri. I'd much rather run a 7 am

Drink, drink, drink.

I had a rough day! My slowest half iron ever at 6:11, but I was honestly happy I just survived!

Ditto. Just as bad as last year. These are my slowest 70.3's by 20 minutes.

I'm in. This will be my tune-up race for IMTexas. Need to get some work in the heat! Been a cold winter in the midwest.
