I don't think i could have done it solo; my friend Tyler rode with me the whole way. Very safe trip with one flat about a third .

Nutrition was alright, could have been planned better... Legs got exhausted but we didn't REALLY hit the wall. We kind of just leaned on it at the end.

Totally worth it blows my mind the people that do this every weekend

Congrats, glad you had a good ride! Leaning on the wall...That describes the feeling perfectly.

The plan was to catch a tailwind the whole way and cheat a little but it turned around on us so it was pretty normal :P

At least you didn't get rained on for 30 miles half way in. If you want an easier ride back, do it with elevation...hills don't just switch directions! Tongue out

Hey I don't know how normal this is, and it might have just been my position on the saddle but my penis was kind of half numb when I finished. I ignored it and after I fell asleep and woke up its gotten a bit better but it's not back to normal yet. This is a concern but should I go to a doc? Or is it normal?

congrats on the ride, i haven't gone that far yet but am planning a 90 mile ride before the winter hits.

about the numbness part that happens to a lot of people i had it on my first 40 mile ride and then i changed my seat to an ''adamo'' and never had the problem again.

I find that if I stand up periodically for about 15-20 seconds when I notice it happening, it goes away and all is right in the world again.  It's a good reminder for me to change position a bit and stretch.  Then I settle right back in.  Congrats on your ride.

And a +1 on the Adamo.  It's MUCH better with that seat.  I rode my road bike the other day with the Fizik seat on it...and I reminded myself why my tri bike has an Adamo over the course of a 30 mile ride.

About the numbness, if it has gone away at this point it's probably not worth a visit to the doctor but it is definitely a sign that something is up with your saddle. either your fit isn't quite right or you need a new/different saddle. I had nothing of the sort after my century and never experience this anymore on my long rides, but when I was in the process of adjusting my saddle I noticed this before I got it just right. A slight tilt forward of the saddle may help with this, but it may also change your fit in an undesirable way. I've never tried an Adamo saddle but I hear nothing but good things as far as success in dealing with these sorts of issues.
