Subject: OWS Practice - am I forgetting anything?

OK, so I'm doing an OWS practice this week (finally) and I've got this nagging feeling there is something I'm not thinking of.  Taking along swimsuit, bodyglide, wetsuit, goggles, sunscreen, towel, & lunch for afterwards while lounging in the sunshine.    The swimming area at the lake in question is guarded.

Like I said, I feel like there is something I'm not thinking of and I'm going to get there and have a large "D'oh!!!" moment.

don't forget to not wear your HRM !

swim cap. you have to wear one at most events and you might as well practice putting it on. feels a bit different swimming with one, too, as it provides a teensy bit of buoancy. (which isn't necessarily good)

Yes, I will be wearing the super cheap timex, I promise! :-D  I'll put the swim cap on the list, too - hadn't thought about that one - thanks!

Bright colored swim cap?

I like to wear a bright colored swim cap when I do ows so others can see me easily and I can spot them as well.

Bring your sense of adventure and joy of swimming w/o chlorine!

Have fun...once you get used to it, if you are like me, you'll like ows much more than pool swimming.

Bright red - means I'll go faster right?
