Swim
Comments: Last few race swims seem to be getting worse then last year when I relearned how to swim so I thought i would concentrate on increasing turnover rate. My time was still 2 minutes worse then last year. Swimming is more flusterring then golf to me. No one to draft. No major stopping issues, a few bumps and traffic but I was able to swim around them What would you do differently?: Need to figure out my swim problem. Transition 1
Comments: 48 degrees so decided to put on a long sleeve top, got that on fast but had a few issues with wetsuit and was having fun joking with my buddy Jeff that came into T1 right behind me. What would you do differently?: Nothing, just having a good time and it didn't cost me. Bike
Comments: Stiff cold wind out of NE seemed to shif when I turned South. I know it didn't but it just seemed not to help any after the turn. Wanted to ride in high 140's Hr but did not have strength to do it. Same issue as Redman, did not have this problem at River Cities so need to re-evaluate what I did before river cities. What would you do differently?: work more on leg strength. Transition 2
Comments: One of the better times so no complaints. Toes were frozen so it took a little longer then normal to get shoes on Run
Comments: Took two mile to restore feeling to my toes after they were numbed by the ride. Just ran to HR of low 150's thru the hills. Might have been able to push it to the low 160's but it wouldn't have mattered the 1st place guy was too far in front of me. What would you do differently?: nothing Post race
Warm down: hung with friends and waited extended time for awards. What limited your ability to perform faster: Poor swimming skills, muscular endurance on bike. Event comments: I was 2nd overall although many of the top M50-54 competitors from last year were not there. This is by far the best organized race in DFW. More fan support then any other, Pros are there, venue is awesome. What more can you say. Last updated: 2012-10-07 12:00 AM

Coffee, Clif Bar. Not much sleep because had busy night Saturday and didn't get to hotel until 10:30.
None besides freezing outside.
