Comments: Had a good, steady pace throughout. Mainly wanted to use this event as a pre-run to my attempt to qualify for Boston in November. I was gunning for 1:32, but I am not quite there yet. Had a little bit of quad cramping around mile 8, but it went away quickly. Was able to pick the pace at the 11 mile marker, and finished strong. Loved the descent to the finish line! What would you do differently?: Obviously running a little faster would be nice, but quite happy with the results. Post race
Warm down: Had a banana, some chips and a beer :) Walked back to the car. Also turned down a blanket at the finish line, which was not a good idea. What limited your ability to perform faster: About 8 weeks into my marathon training... still working on maintaining the 7:20 pace throughout. Last updated: 2012-10-01 12:00 AM

Got up, had some coffee and a pb&j sammich, rolled on the foam roller.
Parked my car about 5 blocks away from the start and jogged to the starting line. Stretched a little bit before the start.
