And that's where it sits with me... will he ever come clean?

Knowing what we know now in the report, it just baffles the crap out of me how Lance could have put out the definat statement after refusing to play along anymore. I mean he KNEW exactly what was in the report, he knew George and the others testified to the truth... and yet he still gave USADA a middle finger and denied the allegations for the millionth time.

There was still time to come clean before the report was released... but now... coming clean when there is absolutely no other choice... well, to me that is still just talking crap. Coming clean when you have something to loose means something.... doing it when it costs you nothing doesn't.

Why does he have to come clean when everyone already knows?

It's not going to change how I view him, or ever viewed him. I don't care if he repents.

Then again, I never viewed LA very highly.

It's baffling to me too. I mean, it's no more meaningful than when Marion Jones stood in the steps of the courthouse and admitted what she had just been convicted of, but at least it would be closure for a lot of fans, myself included. I don't know if I can forgive him regardless,of whether he admits it or not--I was a staunch defender of him for years, right up until the report dropped. But unless he can at least come down off his high horse long enough to cop to what he did and maybe throw a small apology to the thousands of people who supported him, it's not even a question.
