Oliver Half 2013 who's in!?! (Page 2)

Looking at how many emails they haven't been responding to, as well as WHICH bill it is, and the fact that they are threatening to not let them host the event, I think we have a right to be worried.

It's not a single bill either, it's several.

I hope this works out.  I have a couple of friends training for this.  I've heard nothing but good things about the event.   

Until this, same here.

I really hope this is just a hiccup and that my fears end up being unwarranted.

I'm going to continue training etc. as if it is going on.

Not sure how many here have been following the slowtwitch thread, but it seems that Joe, owner of Outback events, is working on clearing up this matter. Long story short, looks like 2013 races are a go. For more info check the slowtwitch thread.

When I started Outback Events it was with the goal of being an athlete focused organization. This is still my goal, to produce safe, fun, and successful events that create a fantastic experience for all athletes and spectators involved. Despite concerted efforts, these personal difficulties negatively impacted the day-to-day functionality of operations and affected your race experience.

Funds were couriered out on Friday to clear and update our account with Oliver Parks & Recreation and I look forward to finalizing our 2013 bookings of facilities in the coming week.

Moving forward as I close up and clear the 2012 season, I am committed this year to re-establishing relationships my athletes, community groups, sponsors, suppliers and host communities to produce successful races and return to form.

I am looking forward to presenting another season of fun and successful athlete focused events.
