NOOOOOOO!!!! That totally sucks. Shouldn't that only be 6 weeks? That would give you enough time to Aqua-Bike a few events if not this one.

With luck I'll be able to heal quickly and train sufficiently to do a race or two toward the end of the season.  Won't be as hot then either!

I'll probably volunteer for Rev3, so I'll be there to cheer on ya'll!

So time for me to . The weather in Maryland leading up to this race has totally sucked for training. The weekends have either been cold, raining, or a cold rain, lol! I have completed 12 weeks on trainerroad but have yet to ride outside and my longest trainer ride has been 90 minutes. Looking forward to going with the family to Williamsburg and the kids are pumped for Busch Gardens............thanks for listening to my vent.

Illinois weather has been similar to Maryland's --- rain and cold. Oh, and wind too! I have done most of my bike riding on the trainer, with very little outdoor rides. And with all of the thunderstorm activity, the pool has been closed many times. Grr...

Now that I'm done whining, I'll say that I'm very much looking forward to this race.

Did you see the bike course? Looks pretty flat. If you watch the video beware the fast forward driving kinda made me sick. Its gonna be Fun and hot not cold and rainy!

I was hoping to garner some info to see how it compared to Patriots.

A group of us rode the course today. Lots of roller with a couple really good size descents. There is one section that descents to a single lane bridge with some rough pavement. Other than that, the course is beautiful and a blast. I think it will be a fist bike segment..

As far as the bike course a few more rollers and one big climb on the way back. It is not a long climb but it is steep and if caught napping in the wrong gear will stop you cold. The run course I believe is mostly flat but since it goes to near and to William and Mary it might have similar parts to the Run for the Dream half.

Hope that helps

f you've been procrastinated and haven't registered yet, I have a sweet offer. I am willing to sell my Rev3 Williamsburg half Registration code from my season pass for $125. That's $100 off the current fee. Let me know if you're interested.
