Course: Rolling hills initially and into about mile 9 i was averaging 19.2 mph on my hybrid without feeling like I was pushing too hard. The 19.2 mph was about 2 mph faster than my normal comfortable cruising speed. However the Genoa Hill around mile 10 was something that I didn't prepare for. Its about a 3.8% grade for 1 mile in length. My area is extremely flat and I wasn't preparted for that. The NW wind of 14 mph was a cross headwind from about mile 8-21. I had very little energy left in my legs after that hill and the wind that followed.
